We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team in the banking sector. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in analyzing complex financial data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to drive data-driven decisions. You will work closely with teams across the bank to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and mitigate risk.
What do you do?
- Use programming and data visualization skills to create dashboards and reports for internal departments.
- Maintain and improve existing reports and dashboards, ensuring they meet evolving business needs.
- Collect, organize, and analyze large data sets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Interpret data, analyze results, and provide ongoing reports for business decision-making.
- Build, maintain, and continuously update the data dictionary and comprehensive data documentation to support consistency, accuracy, and ease of data use across the organization.
- Able to analyze data using multiple technical skills such as Descriptive Analysis and Statistical analysis.
- Develop data models that comprehensively view business flows and enable detailed data analysis.
- Perform analysis to understand product performance, user behaviors, and pain points to feedback for product/solution/model development. You need to interpret & analyze data (by using statistical techniques together with your domain knowledge) into actionable recommendations.
What is required?
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven 3 – 5 experience years as a Data Analyst, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Strong proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R, and Excel.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Superset, Open Source, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms) and database management.
- Knowledge of financial instruments, banking operations, and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of statistical analysis, and predictive modeling techniques.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain data insights to both technical and business audiences.
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of Agile principles, practices, and Scrum methodologies
- Experience working in Agile teams to support digital transformation projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with fintech-specific data (e.g., credit scores, transaction data, loan portfolios).
- Familiarity with fintech software systems (e.g., Temenos, Oracle Financials).
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
