About the Role
FinX aims to build a digital financial product that will deliver on the promise of simplicity, technological advancement, and superior customer products & services for millions of people in Vietnam.
As an Engineering Lead, you will own one or more critical business domains, leading teams and helping them to successfully deliver the best user experience based on business requirements. You will be responsible for staffing your teams and ensuring the quality of the products and tech, mentoring and growing your direct reports, and creating a collaborative environment within your team(s) and other teams. Together with product leadership, you will be responsible for the continuous delivery of the FinX roadmap to the customers.
Responsibilities
- Taking a part in gathering business and customer requirements by collaborating with all relevant FinX departments, including but not limited to product engineering, UI/UX and external partners
- Ensuring product and technical quality by defining and applying engineering best practices in your team(s)
- Defining team(s) capacity and level of seniority needs and executing a hiring plan
- Repetitively and iteratively shaping the development process to include all required stages and practices to enable an agile mindset
- Identifying opportunities and methods for continuous testing and applications deployment strategy
- Collaborating with the platform team to ensure “You build it, you run it” approach
- Looking for user feedback to find opportunities to improve existing software products
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in leading one or more development teams with a successful delivery track
- Solid engineering background and excellent knowledge of the software development life cycle
- Strong problem-solving and clear communication skills
- Experience in applying agile and Scrum development methodologies
- Domain expertise in banking is a big advantage
- Proficiency in English
